Sodexo puts the “fun” into fundraising with two-day charity event at Sandhurst

Sodexo Motivation Solutions, one of the world’s largest on-site service and motivation solutions providers, today announces that it is to take part in The Sandhurst Business Challenge, a unique teambuilding event taking place at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, in order to raise funds for “Help for Heroes”, a charity founded in 2007 to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in service.

The Sandhurst Business Challenge, being held on 19th and 20th August 2010, will offer an excellent opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the charity, whilst also providing a fun and rewarding experience that will encourage team cohesion and improved leadership skills amongst several of the Sodexo’s managers.

The Sodexo team – called ‘Team Motivation’ – will include Jackie Smith, national business manager;  Monica Newman, production manager; Christine Rodriguez, CRM manager; Ian Blundell, IT manager, and Phillip Townend, marketing manager. The two-day event has been designed to test each team’s intellectual and physical abilities using disciplines taken from sport, the military and business.

“Although we’re probably not the fittest team in the world, we’re looking forward to taking on whatever the British Army chooses to throw at us,” says Phillip Townend, marketing manager, Sodexo Motivation Solutions.  “It will be good fun, and it’s all in aid of an extremely good cause.”
